Sales Tax Hike Coming Soon Near You
Despite a $19 billion surplus of taxpayer money, Minnesota Democrats raised taxes and fees by over $10 billion in the recent legislative session. Minnesotans will soon feel this many places such as at the gas pump, DMV, and more, but if you live in St. Paul or the 37 other cities that raised their sales tax, you’re going to feel it even more.
Many cities and towns across the state applied with the legislature for a property tax hike in order to pay for certain things in the community. Instead of properly balancing the budget and using the $19 budget surplus wisely, Democrats decided to spend it all and take as much as they can.

It is such a shame that Democrats would be so greedy as to raise taxes on Minnesota families by over $10 billion, at a time of rising inflation and a record-breaking budget surplus nonetheless! If you live in one of the above cities, it may be even more!
The DFL logic is to tax everything in sight until the government is so large and completely in charge. We cannot let that happen. We will continue to fight Democrats' disastrous tax-raising policies and advocate for more of your money to stay right where it belongs: in your pocket.
