Did Your Budget Increase by 38%?!

Did your budget increase by 38% this year? We know - it’s a dumb question. Rising inflation has made us all pinch our budgets, well, unless you’re a Minnesota Democrat. They seemingly have no budget at all. This session they’ve stuffed their pockets and increased the state budget by more than $20 billion. This is in addition to the $19 billion surplus they already had and refused to give back to the taxpayers that paid it in. 

Why do they need so much money? To fund their grotesque government growth. An astonishing 75 bills passed the House and Senate and head to the Governor’s desk to sign. The worst part about it is that they raised taxes by more than $10 billion to fund it all. Turns out it costs quite a bit of money to create new government bureaucracies, hire 1,000 full-time employees, and establish new government programs. Fiscal responsibility is clearly not a DFL trait. 

What remains to be seen is the devastation Democrats’ new taxes, fees, and mandates will bring upon the great state of Minnesota. Our state is no longer desirable and now has a reputation for being second-hand to California. How many more will be driven out by the DFL’s money-grabbing schemes? 

It is completely unsustainable to increase government spending by 38%. How much do Democrats need to take from taxpayers in order to be happy? We think it’s due time they have to work with what they’ve got and stop taking money from the hard-working people in this state!
