Twin Cities DSA publishes their support for Hamas after terrorist attack on Israel
The Twin Cities chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) has gone too far with its radical statement blaming Israel for the Hamas terrorists that are brutally devasting Israeli communities, including the torture, rape, and killing of innocent men, women, and children.
In their 545-word statement, there was not an ounce of recognition or empathy for the victims and their loved ones. Every mention of Israel came with vitriol and scorn. For people who have not yet read it and who have loved ones who are in Israel or members of the Jewish faith, we do not recommend exposing themselves to such a bold antisemitic statement.
Like true members of the radical left, the Twin Cities DSA decided to virtue signal how morally superior they are instead of actually paying attention to the utter turmoil and devastation that is right in front of them. They must’ve dusted off their buzzwords thesaurus because the wall of text that the DSA posted accused the people of Israel of being heartless colonizers, racist oppressors, and even made a point to compare the Palestinians to George Floyd…we’re not kidding.
DFL chairman Ken Martin wrote the following tweet about the statement, trying to distance himself from the radical statement. The problem is, this sentiment has been growing in the DFL for years. When will the DFL firmly deny these people a megaphone?
The casualties in Israel are still being counted, and here is a political party spitting on their graves. It’s disgusting, inhumane, and must not be tolerated by anyone. How it got approved and posted on their website shows an appalling lack of respect the DSA has for innocent civilians being targeted by a terrorist group.
Twin Cities DSA has a history of anti-Jewish sentiments centered around their hatred for the entire country of Israel, even calling on the US to disavow one of our long term allies. It’s all very hypocritical, considering Rule #8 on the Twin Cities DSA website is “Assume Full Humanity. Recognize we were all raised in the same society with the same biases and prejudices, and approach each other with this in mind.” But apparently, their empathy and compassion only extends to other socialists who think the same as them.
