Ready for Summer? It’s Going to Cost You
It’s summer in Minnesota and you know what that means. It’s time for all the outdoor activities like hitting the lake, going fishing or taking a hike! Minnesotans sure do make good use of the limited summer days we have, but what if we told you your favorite activities just got even more pricey?
Included in the Democrats’ $10 billion in tax hikes are multiple fee increases for boats, fishing licenses, and state park passes. It’s not enough that they already had a $19 billion budget surplus to work with, they needed to find even more ways to take more of your money. How else will they fund a 38% increase in the state budget?!
Here’s how much fun summer activities are going to cost now:
It is such a shame that Minnesota Democrats will raise taxes and fees on FUN in order to fund their radical agenda. By increasing fees for these activities, Democrats are essentially placing a financial burden on those who seek to embrace the joys of summer. This approach disproportionately affects lower-income families, making engaging in leisure and recreational activities even more challenging!
If we let Democrats have their way before too long, Minnesota may no longer be the state of fun in the summer. It will be a state of unnecessarily high taxes and fees, one-party rule, and radical policy.
