President Biden visits Minnesota, touts spending on “clean energy future”

President Joe Biden visited Minnesota on Monday to meet with state government officials and business leaders at Cummins’ manufacturing plant in Fridley.

The visit was part of the Biden Administration’s 20-state “Investing in America” tour, which really means more government spending on subsidizing green energy that will continue to drive up energy costs and possibly lead to deadly winter blackouts.

The Inflation Reduction Act, passed last year, gave around $370 billion to green energy efforts. During the debate, Congressional Republicans called Democrats out for focusing on the wrong priorities while Americans struggle with rising prices at the gas pump and grocery store.

It is important that we protect and preserve our environment, but the Biden Administration’s plan to abandon fossil fuels and heavily subsidize the green energy industry to reach its dubious carbon goals is not the way to do it. Democrats have their priorities out of place and refuse to compromise on the issue despite the ongoing energy crisis Californians (who have seen the effects of similar legislation) now face. Minnesota families now pay the price.

During his remarks at the manufacturing plant on Monday, President Biden bragged about what his administration is calling the strongest job growth in history. We wonder how many ‘now hiring” or “help wanted” signs the presidential motorcade drove past on the way from the airport to Fridley. As families continue to crunch budgets and spend savings, it doesn’t necessarily seem like our nation’s economy is firing on all cylinders.

Minnesota Republicans condemned the President’s tour. In a statement, state Republican Party Chairman David Hann said Biden should “apologize for making it harder for families to save for college or retirement, pay the bills, start a business, or even buy the things they need every day like groceries and gas.”

While President Biden tours the country and brags about his “strong economy” and “job growth” Americans are still suffering under record-high inflation. With the priorities set to the green energy agenda, it does not seem relief is on the way anytime soon.
