SOTU Lesson: MN DFL Jockey To Lead The Nation at the Expense of Minnesota Families
If you’re like most Americans, you didn’t watch Joe Biden give the State of the Union address Tuesday night. However, a key moment from his speech has made the rounds in the days following, highlighting the struggle Democrats face in their bid for complete green energy and the nightmare that awaits families across Minnesota.
As part of his speech, Biden attempted to draw attention to rising energy costs by placing blame on energy companies for the spike. Inadvertently, his admission that plans to eliminate a major global market for energy within the next decade as the crux of the issue caused half of the chamber to erupt in laughter.
In reality, Joe Biden said the quiet part out loud. Green energy policies that refuse to acknowledge the current need for oil and gas are driving prices up and hurting Minnesota families. It’s not just nationally that we see this problem. California, a leader in the bid to abandon oil and gas, has seen rates almost double the national average. Now, Minnesota Democrats jockeying to provide leadership where national Democrats cannot are jeopardizing the economic wellbeing of Minnesotans.
Under Democrat leadership, Minnesotans are having to pay more for everything. $3.00 per gallon gas is a blessing compared to near $5.00 per gallon prices last Summer and heating costs were expected to go up nearly 20 percent this Winter.
Now, with the Democrats’ 2040 standard signed into law this week, what can Minnesota families expect? Higher prices and the potential for rolling blackouts during peak hours (think double digit wind chills and 100 degree days).
In states across the country, green energy and fossil fuels coexist in harmony to benefit the average American. Until Democrats accept that reality, Minnesotans should buckle up, because the Democrats dream will quickly become a nightmare for all.
