Say Good-Bye to John Deere

Minnesotans are experiencing the dreaded second winter, but it means we’re one step closer to spring, pulling out the New Balance dad sneakers (you know the one), and priming up the lawn mower for that growing grass.

Though… you may have to invest in one of those manual mowers if Democrats have their way. Last week, Democrats introduced new legislation that would ban the sale of gas-powered lawn mowers – and yes, that includes your riding mower. But, it’s not the only fossil fueled lawn equipment targeted by Democrats. 

According to Bring Me The News, the bill “would require all new lawn and garden equipment sold in the state to be fully electric by Jan. 1, 2025, including leaf blowers, chainsaws, brushcutters, lawn edgers and more.” 

Once again, Democrats have failed to take into consideration the needs of families and what’s reasonable in terms of upkeep for their home. In fact, AARP touts the superiority of gas mowers over electric when it comes to homes with sizable yards.
