President Biden's Visit to Minnesota: Touting Infrastructure Amidst Economic Turmoil

President Biden's recent visit to Duluth, Minnesota to tout his administration's infrastructure agenda and bridge funding was met with mixed reactions from residents across the state. While the President emphasized the importance of investing in infrastructure to create jobs and stimulate economic growth, many Minnesotans are grappling with the harsh reality of a faltering economy, skyrocketing inflation, and mounting challenges facing the business community.

As President Biden addressed the crowd, promising to rebuild roads, bridges, and public transit systems, the stark reality facing Minnesotans tells a different story. Biden’s words were so weightless, he might as well not have even been there. Minnesota Democrats didn’t seem to care all that much. Governor Walz, Senators Klobuchar and Smith, and Wisconsin Senator Tammy Baldwin all made Biden wait and watch while they took selfies. Not exactly the behavior you’d expect in the presence of the President of the United States, but this is perfectly emblematic of the respect and regard Biden receives…none.
